Terms & Conditions

1. Overview & Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to 02H Swim School. Throughout this document, the terms “we”, “us”, and “our” refer to 02H Swim School. We offer this website, 02hswim-singapore.com (the “Site”), and our swimming lesson services (collectively, the “Services”) to you, the user, conditioned upon your acceptance of all terms, conditions, and policies stated here.

By visiting our Site and/or registering for our Services, you agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions (“Terms & Conditions”, “Terms”). These Terms apply to all users of the Site and Services, including parents, guardians, students, and website visitors.

Please read these Terms & Conditions carefully. If you do not agree to all the terms, you may not access the website or use any of our Services. We reserve the right to update or change any part of these Terms by posting updates to our website. It is your responsibility to check this page periodically for changes.

2. Fees and Payment

  • All lesson fees must be paid in full on a 10-sessions basis before the commencement of the term.
  • Failure to make payment by the stipulated due date may result in the forfeiture of your child’s or your placement for the upcoming term.
  • Upon commencement of a term, all fees paid are strictly non-refundable. Any request for cancellation must be mutually agreed, for any reason.
  • We reserve the right to amend our fees and promotional packages at any time. Please contact us for the most current information.

3. Lesson Policies

  • Operating Schedule & Cancellations: Our school operates year-round, including on public holidays. If a student or instructor is unable to attend a scheduled lesson for any reason, a minimum of two (2) weeks’ advance notice is required.
  • Package Validity: All 10-session packages must be completed within a thirteen (13) week period from the date of the first lesson. It is the joint responsibility of the parent/student and the coach to schedule and complete all sessions within this timeframe. Any sessions not completed within the 13-week validity period will be forfeited without a refund.
  • Medical Absences: In the event of illness, a lesson can be rescheduled upon submission of a valid medical certificate.
  • Inclement Weather: For safety reasons, lessons will be cancelled in the event of inclement weather, such as heavy rain or lightning. Cancelled lessons will be rescheduled.
  • Relief Instructors: We reserve the right to assign a relief instructor to conduct a class when the regular instructor is unavailable. The lesson will proceed and be charged as scheduled.
  • Student Grouping: For group classes, students are generally placed in groups based on age and ability. We reserve the right to regroup students according to their progress to maintain an optimal learning environment.

4. General & Safety Policies

  • All students and accompanying adults must wear appropriate swim attire.
  • Parents and guardians are responsible for supervising their children at all times before and after their scheduled lesson. Our coaches are only responsible for students during the lesson itself.
  • 02H Swim School is not responsible for the loss or damage of any personal belongings.
  • We reserve the right to photograph or video record classes and activities for training, publicity, and promotional purposes. Permission from any individual will not be sought. If you have concerns, please inform us in writing.

6. Waiver and Release of Liability

By participating in any lessons, events, or activities (the “Activities”) conducted by 02H Swim School, you acknowledge and agree on behalf of yourself and/or your child/ward (the “Student”) to the following:

  1. Assumption of Risk: You understand that participating in swimming activities involves inherent risks, including but not limited to physical injury, permanent paralysis, and death. You and the Student voluntarily assume all known and unknown risks associated with the Activities.
  2. Medical Fitness: You represent that the Student is physically and medically fit to participate in the Activities. You agree to declare any and all pre-existing medical conditions, illnesses, or disabilities to us in writing prior to the first lesson.
  3. Release of Liability: You agree that 02H Swim School and its owners, instructors, employees, and agents (the “Relevant Parties”) shall not be held liable for any personal injury, property damage, or loss of any kind suffered by you or the Student arising directly or indirectly from participation in the Activities.
  4. Indemnification: You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Relevant Parties from any and all claims, demands, damages, or liabilities arising from the Student’s participation in the Activities.

7. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Singapore. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore.
